Met with a girlfriend here for afternoon tea. Had to reserve and preorder and provide our credit card information which was totally fine. The place itself reminded me of a beautiful cute cafe in lovely Paris. Such a dainty and nice experience in a sweet little home atmosphere.
I had the chamomile lavender tea and my friend had the orange spice tea (there was maybe 12 options for tea). Came in large teapots. We were then served a large array of savoury and sweet items for us to enjoy. We liked the savoury items. I particularly found the egg salad and salmon sandwiches quite tasty. The scones were good and the homemade pear and apricot jams were delicious but we were yearning for that exquisite Devonshire cream lol. The sweet items were extensive and we didn't finish all and packed them up. The almond tart with jam was my favorite. A couple of the cookies were slightly over baked however but we still found them quite good.
Overall a worthwhile experience at $48 a person. I have yet to find an amazing place in Calgary for afternoon tea but this one holds it own to Fairmont's, which is pretty good.
I was able to park at a metre in front and the service was good and attentive. I would like to return and try some of the normal items and desserts off the regular menu. -

Our party of 6 went this past weekend for a birthday party. The restaurant is nicely decorated and definitely had a French vibe. We had the Afternoon Tea and were a bit surprised that they only had less than six choices of different teas. The trays of goodies came out and presentation was blah and not very temping at all. The tea sandwiches were bland and the bread was stale. The squares were overly sweet and dried out. We all felt that for the price we did not get our moneys worth and would not recommend it.

Parisian perfection! Café Du Centre's hospitality was phenomenal and with flavors so perfectly calculated & subtly romantic! The portions were exact & the presentation stunning!! My daughter & I were in awe of the entire experience from the location to the beautifully elegant ambiance. #highlyrecommended
